Today is the kick off of Bloggiesta! I’ve been wanting to participate in this awesome blogger-fest for years, but the timing has never been right. At last, the stars have aligned!
Here’s my to-do-list for the next 4 days:
- write (at least!) two reviews
- update Goodreads reviews
do at least one mini challengesstart my blog journal(<- mine is awesome, FYI!)visit some of the other bloggers participating- take part in at least one twitter chat
clear up my inbox and answer some emails!!update my challenge post
For the first time in EVER, I can’t wait to get started on my to-do list! Wish me luck, people.
Mini-challenge: Productivity/Organization tips
Try out a blogging calendar
I never really liked the idea of these, as it felt too confining. But then I gave it a go on Google Docs and it worked wonders! This was primarily because it gave me incentive to schedule some posts! Now, I’ll admit that it doesn’t work completely perfectly – I find it is too easy to just not CHECK my calendar. So… I am working on making my own printable template. There are a bunch out there if you don’t want to make your own – give one a go!
Don’t force a review
Some books won’t inspire you enough for a review – and that’s OK. Yes, it’s OK even if you got the book specifically FOR review. That’s just life. Besides, if you have to force a review out, your readers will be able to tell! Lose-Lose.

Good luck on your goals! Looks very doable! 🙂

Every time I see “starting Bloggiesta” posts, I invariably think, “Crap, I forgot about that AGAIN!”
Though honestly, while my blog’s not perfect, most of what needs to be changed about it can’t be done in such a short period of time. Remembering to participate in Bloggiesta might help, admittedly, but at this rate, I’m not going to end up doing that until 2026!
Hope you have fun this year!

I completely know what you mean! This is the first time I have ever succeeded in participating – I always miss it!!
Also understand what you mean about not being able to get much done on your site in a few days. I am the same (just spent 3-odd weeks redoing my layout)… but Bloggiesta has been fun for the smaller things 🙂
