Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson #7) by Patricia Briggs
Urban Fantasy – March 5th 2013 by Orbit –ย GoodreadsShapeshifter Mercy Thompson’s life is calming down, at least enough that she can focus on mundane matters like Black Friday sales. But on her return, Mercy is unable to contact her mate, Alpha Adam Hauptman, or the other members of their pack. All she knows is that Adam is angry and in pain. With the werewolves fighting a political battle to gain acceptance from the public, Mercy fears Adam’s disappearance may be related – and that he and the pack are in serious danger. Outclassed and on her own, Mercy may be forced to seek assistance from the most unlikely of allies: the vampire seethe.
Meep! This summary is so, so scary. What is she doing with my pairing?! GAH!
In case you haven’t noticed, I am a HUGE fan of adore Briggs’ writing. Her books never fail to deliver – I think the lowest rating I’ve ever given one was 4 stars… she’s just that good. I am currently reading the sixth book in this series, River Marked, and can firmly state that Briggs’ writing was good enough to get my blogging-mojo running again. Considering how deep my funk was, that’s the best compliment I can give!

I’ve never been interested in werewolves, but your choice does sound like a good read. Hope you get a copy soon! Check out my WOW.
I am super excited for this one, too! And I was super excited to see your blog pop up at the start of my list of Unread posts in my google reader! I have likely missed many a post because I am so behind. but since it was in the first 5 listed posts this morning I stopped by. ๐
CAT! I saw your vlog over the weekend and was planning to comment a loooong thing about how good it was to see you online. I’ve been SO NOT HERE for the past few months, and feel really behind as well! Patricia Briggs, though, has gotten me out of my reading funk. It was like every book in the world was out to ruin my life and then… Mercy. ๐
I haven’t read any of the books in the series, but I hope you enjoy it when it comes out. It sounds interesting! Great pick!
Come check out my WOW post.
