Another year, another new set of favourites to share! Nicely coinciding with Top Ten Tuesday, here are my top ten books from 2013. As usual, this is my personal top ten so it includes plenty of books that came out before 2013. That said, there’s a healthy mix of 2013 releases in this year’s pile!
The “I can’t believe I waited so long to read these” books
1. Angelfall by Susan Ee
2. Heist Society by Ally Carter
The sequels that surpassed their predecessor
3. Outpost by Ann Aguirre
4. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
The surprise 2013 releases of awesome
6. Crash Into You by Katie McGarry
7. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
The “lived up to the hype” books
7. The Fault in our Stars by John Green
8. Sweetly by Jackson Pearce
The adult spec fiction selection by authors I’ve always adored
9. Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs
10. Endgame by Ann Aguirre
That’s it for this year! I leave 2013 with these words of advice:
- Top 10 Books of 2015 - January 6, 2016
- Image comic-book-buying madness - December 3, 2015
- Review: Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews - November 22, 2015
LOL love the gif 😀
Great selection, I have Scarlet on my list as well. It really was better than Cinder. 🙂 I still have to read majority of these though.
I enjoyed Green, too, but my favorite from him is Will Grayson. 🙂
Happy reading and Happy New Year!
I also loved angelfall! Heist society and tfios, I thought were good, but not enough to go on my top 10 list…

There are books on this that I wanted to read but never did get around to. Maybe 2014 will be better for that, for actually reading all the books that I mean to.

I also really loved ‘Sweetly’! I think I even liked it better than Sisters Red!

The only one of these I’ve read is The Fault in Our Stars. And I too loved it so much it was on my top 10 list, but really how could it not be! And while I haven’t read the others on your list, I am hoping to get to The Lunar Chronicles in 2014!

Great list. You’ve got some really amazing books on your list – These Broken Stars made my list too. I really want to read quite a few of these – especially the Lunar Chronicles and Angelfall. Happy New Year 🙂 My TTT.
I’ve got about 5 of these books waiting to be read – I’m particularly intrigued by Angelfall, These Broken Stars and Heist Society. Gah, why can’t I stay at home and read all week?!
Have an ace 2014!
