Currently Reading:

• Captivate by Carrie Jones – Not as good as Need… not sure why exactly, but there is something off about it that I can’t put my finder on.  Still – has possibly the sweetest feministy heroine ever. ♥

Finished this week:

• The Devil’s Kiss by Sarwat Chadda – Really enjoyable with a very London vibe.  I loved knowing which tube stop Billi was getting off at.  hehe
• Linger by Maggie Steifvater – OMG.  I forget how lyrical and tragic her writing is.  I cried ALOT while reading this.  It was cathartic and terrible and just… fab read.

Reviews:

• Kiss of Death by Rachel Caine – Great series.  OK book.
• TimeRiders by Alex Scarrow – OK book. Great series (potential).

Currently Reading:

• The Devil’s Kiss by Sarwat Chadda –  The first line of this book is just fantastic: Killing him should be easy; he’s only six.

Finished this week:

• Jealousy by Lili St. Crow – As usual with this series, the first half of this book was 5 stars… then it went downhill.  STILL – Awesome read!
• Succubus Nights by Richelle Mead – Not as funny as the first in the series, and kinda blah plot-wise – but addictive and FUN nevertheless!

   

Reviews:

• The Mage in Black by Jaye Wells – FINALLY reviewed this AMAZING book. 5 stars!! *SPARKLES*

Currently Reading:

• Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane – I have been trying to read this book for the past 3 weeks but only seem to manage a page or two at a time.  It sucks, because I know it is a good book but I just can’t seem to get through it.  May set it aside as it is sucking away my book-loving soul bit by bit.

Finished this week:

• TimeRiders by Alex Scarrow – I really didn’t think I would enjoy this book as much as I did!  It is like a friggin’ action movie – complete with Nazis, scenes in the Titanic and flesh-eating zombies (er, kinda zombies anyhow).

• Linger by Maggie Stiefvater – NEED WANT MUST READ THIS THING.  I blame Unholy Ghosts (*cough* and, sure, now I feel guilty for blaming a perfectly good book.)

• Book Covers – ARCs vs. Final covers – In which I wax poetically about fantastic book covers and then rant bitterly about the ones I don’t like. 

Monday Reading (August 2nd, 2010)

• Kiss of Death by Rachel Caine – I love Caine’s Morganville series!  Her writing is positively addictive and I have been struggling to savour this book as long as possible… once I get started it is really hard for me to stop.  But I must preserver as Ghost Town isn’t coming out for months!!
• Something from the Nightside by Simon R. Green – At first I was enjoying the Guy-Noir feel to this book, but it has since gotten a bit tedious.  And the “romance”?  Seriously lame.

• Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan – This was adorable.  Loved it to bits and am looking forward to reading more of Levithan’s work.
