Monday Reading
It’s Monday! What are you reading this week? is a weekly event now hosted by One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books where we discuss our week of reading!
Currently Reading:
  • Rogue by Rachel Vincent – Loving this so far, especially seeing as Faythe is not acting as idiotic as I remember her.  Character development FTW!
Finished this Week:
  • Seven Sorcerers by Caro King – This was such a magical novel, I adored every second of it.  I don’t think I’ve been this intrigued by a universe since Harry Potter – seriously, it’s that good!
Up next on the TBR pile:

I’ve been ludicrously busy over the past week, and it has affected both my reading and DBD.  Hopefully I’ll have some more time on my hands this week for some honest-to-God reading!

It’s Monday! What are you reading this week? is a weekly event now hosted by One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books where we discuss our week of reading!

Currently Reading:

  • Seven Sorcerers by Caro King – This is very much a middle-grade book, but WOW is it great!  Wonderful mixture of realism and crazy fantasy – with some excellent illustrations to boot!

Finished this Week:

  • Graceling by Kristin Cashore – AMAZING!  Seriously.  Even if high fantasy isn’t your thing – please read this book!
  • Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill – Loved it!  Will no doubt end up writing a long-winded explanation about why I love the male lead, despite him being a complete douche.

Books I DNF:

  • Nearly Departed by Rook Hasting – Starting out the book with a character who abuses his staffie that he bought for dog fighting?  Not great.  But even skipping that chapter, I just couldn’t enjoy this book.  Alas.

Finished this Week

  • Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead – Amazing! The Vampire Academy Series just keeps getting better and better. Although I am getting frustrated by Mead’s ability to take my heart out and stomp on it.
  • The Line by Teri Hall – Really interesting premise, but not such great writing. Hopefully Hall will improve with her next novel.

It’s Monday! What are you reading this week? is a weekly event now hosted by One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books where we discuss our week of reading!

Currently Reading:

  • Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead – Amazing book.  I am almost finished but am dreading the end as I’ve read spoilers for the subsequent book… if I don’t read it, it will never happen, right?? Eep!
  • The Line by Teri Hall – Dystopian YA for the win!  This has been really good so far – and not a zombie in sight!
