What are you reading on Monday? – (Feb. 22nd, 2010)

It’s Monday! What are you reading this week? is a weekly event now hosted by One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books where we discuss our week of reading!

Books I am currently reading:

Books I finished this week:

Mark of the Demon by Diana Rowland – Read as part of the League Challenge but I’m afraid it really was not my sort of book. Had to push myself through it – expect a less than stellar review coming up this week.

Books I am currently reading:

Mark of the Demon by Diana Rowland – Reading as part of the League Challenge. And considering how much I loved the last book for the challenge, I am expecting good things from this one too!

Books I finished this week:

Red-headed Stepchild by Jaye Wells – This book so bloody amazing. I was head-over-heels in love. Seriously good stuff. Can’t wait to review it!
Hearts at Stake (aka My Love Lies Bleeding) by Alyxandra Harvey – Enjoyable read but left me empty.

Up next from the TBR pile:

Magic Under Glass by Jaclyn Dolamore – I want everyone to pause at look below at the beautiful UK cover this book has… which is also spectacularly controversy-free!
The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien – Need to get going with this one for the readalong…!

It’s Monday! What are you reading this week? is a weekly event to celebrate what we are reading.

Books I am currently reading:

Heart at Stake by Alyxandra Harvey – Only a few chapters in, but am enjoying the verse so far!

Books finished this week:

Fallen by Lauren Kate – Pretty enjoyable, but I felt as though the end was a bit rushed. I’m just glad I didn’t end up hating it like some reviewers!

Dark Lover by J.R. Ward – Loved this series and finally got around to writing a review!

Books I am currently reading:

The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler – Absolutely adorable book, and quite serious despite the chick-lit cover.
A Study In Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle – Have set myself a challenge to get through the Sherlock Holmes series this year. Really good fun so far!
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien – Yep, still at this. Haven’t actually picked it up in a week… but that is no reflection on the book itself!

Books finished this week:

Firespell by Chloe Neill – LOVED this book. This one will probably make the Top Ten of 2010 list!

Books I am currently reading:

Firespell by Chloe Neill – picked this up as part of the Debut Author Challenge and am in love! Neill writes the way my brain thinks, and, since I get on with myself rather well, I am really enjoying it!
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein – I am reading this as a part of the LOTR readalong. I only plan on finishing this book this week, as I won’t have much time to read this week!

Books I gave up on this week:

Dragons Prefer Blondes by Candace Havens – Since I loved her first book in this series, I will be returning to it… but for some reason I just could not past page 12!
